ANTHONY TORCHIA
PN Level 1
Anthony’s passion for athletic performance started 3 months before middle school football camp began. He knew that if he wanted to become a big strong football player, he had to make some changes. When summer broke, his father bought him a weight set and old pair of dumbbells that his father had from when he was a teenager.
That summer he reported to football camp full of confidence and a newly sparked passion of hard work and dedication to his team. For years he added sleds, kettle bells, and make shift dumbbells and benches to his weight set. This new passion of training would be an enormous driving point in his value and disciplines for years to come.
He graduated from South Plainfield High School, captain of Varsity football for 3 years, with 1st Team All-Area and All- County honors. After trying college football at Kean University, he decided it wasn’t for him and he’d pursue his long-time dream being a collegiate strength coach. After training at Test Sports Clubs in high school he returned back to train for powerlifting while building a relationship with James Pratt. After years of sharing thoughts on weightlifting, nutrition, speed and football James took Anthony under his wing as an intern May of 2017.
While completing his degree in Exercise Science and Sports Studies at Rutgers University he joined Pratt performance in its infancy. Now he works to help athletes work toward their goals in athletics and guide adults to a healthy sustainable lifestyle in training and nutrition.
