DR. ROBERT MONACO, MD, PHP


Dr. Robert Monaco has been the Team Physician at Rutgers University since 1996 where he oversees the medical treatment for athletes for 30 Division I sports at the University. He is also responsible for the supervision of eleven full-time certified athletic trainers. Dr. Monaco comes to us with a decade of direct experience with our NFL Combine invites and helps them manage short and long-term medical goals to make it through the rigorous medical testing in Indianapolis.

DR. Sharif Tabbah, DPT, CSCS

Doctor of Physical Therapy


Dr. Sharif Tabbah, commonly known as “Dr Reef”, is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and the co-founder of Athletix Rehab and Recovery. Sharif received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2012 from New York University. Prior to that he became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) sanctioned by the National Strength and Conditioning Association in 2010 and earned a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Business and Marketing at the University of Connecticut in 2006. He has a unique approach to fitness, rehab an injury prevention with an emphasis on balance and dynamic core stability. Over the years Sharif has worked with hundreds of professional athletes from the NFL, MLB, NBA, WTA, US Olympics and more. His work has been featured on major media outlets including NFL Media, Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football, ESPN, Sportscenter & NFL Network. Sharif utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to returning athletes to high-level performance through a combination of manual rehabilitative therapy along with strength and conditioning to help patient’s reach their goals and quickly return to sport or activity helped extend the careers of many NFL athletes over the past decade.
